JUN 17 Pale lemon yellow. Apples, pears, minerals beneath, ripe and rich citrus nose, almost a touch smoky in the back. Fresh acidity, fruity, ripe, rich, spices, apples, pears, touch of peach and passion fruit, nervy energy to it yet ripe and big, long. 94

DEC 16 Bright ruby. Scented, red berries, floral, tight, layered nuanced nose, seductive. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, transparent, detailed, juicy, layered, refreshing and smooth, superb balance, superb length. 96

2013 Comte de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc

DEC 16 Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, fresh and fruity nose. Fresh acidity, fresh, fruity, smooth texture, rounded, creamy, spices, long and lush, fairly rich. 93

2012 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny
DEC 14 Ruby. Scented, red and darker berries, some vanilla and spices. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, fresh, lively, structured, quite mouthwatering, bit firm finish, needs air or cellar time. 90

2011 Comte de Vogüé Musigny Vieilles Vignes:
JAN 14 . Rubinrød. Røde bær, vaniljestang, fatene merkes, litt tight og flørter ikke så mye bak Chambertinen til Rousseau. Noe eksotiske overtoner, intens men ung. Frisk syre, modne tanniner, ungt, tett, tanisk, denne trenger tid, lang tid, en av få 2011ere, klokkeklar frukt og plenty intensitet til å bakke opp. Sitter som ett skudd, Svært lang. 95-96

OCT 13 Ruby. Red berries, scented, some vanilla, ever so slightly herbal, nuanced, floral, violets, layered. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, bit tight and closed even after a few hours in decanter, delicate, nuanced, transparent, elegant, long finish. 95

2011 Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares

OCT 13 Bright ruby.  Red berries, scented, pure and quite intense nose, slight plummy note. Floral with more time in the glass, getting the floral note quicker than the '95 a month ago. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red berries, that for me seemingly typical slightly unripe strawberries tightness and coolness of flavour, refreshing, long finish. 94

OCT 13 Bright ruby. Scented, floral, red berries, almost violets nose, again pure Madagascar vanilla. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, tight, quite intense, focused, nuanced, long. 92

OCT 13 Bright ruby. Red berries, slight herbal note far behind, slightly scented nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, youthful and fruity, but a bit lean and tight, good length, quite nuanced. 89

2011 Comte de Vogüé Bourgogne Blanc

DEC 16 Pale lemon yellow. Fruity, apples, some spices, floral notes and ripe oranges, pears almost bergamot. Fresh acidity, fruity, ripe and rich, fairly big bodied that hides the minerals a bit, long finish. 92

2009 Comte de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares

AUG 17 Bright ruby. Scented, red berries, some darker fruits, floral, nuanced, layered, leaps out of the glass, unusual depth, faint mint touch, liquorice, violets, magic nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, red berries, anise, some spices, anise, juicy and refreshing, quite full bodied, detailed, structured, incredible length, raspberries, liquorice and strawberries, just layers. Served blind, I guessed 2009, Musigny and Comte Vogüé. 98

2009 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny

AUG 17 Bright ruby. Red berries, touch of anise, some herbs, faint minty note, quite cool expression. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, red berries, anise, and herbs, fresh but somewhat edgy. Long. 91

2006 Comte de Vogüé, Bourgogne Blanc

APR 11 Pale lemon yellow, wax, floral notes, yellow fruits, minerals, flinty touch, vanilla, oak, yellow plums and tropical touch. Good acidity, butter and oak is on the high side, slightly alcoholic and warm in the finish, long length. 89

2002 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru

OCT 13 Bright ruby, thin garnet rim. Scented, fruity, nuanced, a more subdued violets note, beautiful nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, tight, bit gripping before it opens into an almost velvety aftertaste, long. 93

2001 Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares

OCT 13 Ruby, thin garnet rim. Fruity, scented, ripe plums, overripe strawberries, holds on to the floral notes much tighter than the '11, doesn't quite want to let go. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, elegant fruit, refreshing, again a bit tight, almost playful. Ever so slightly edgy still, needs five to ten years, long. 94

2001 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru

MAR 12 This one is made from the younger vines in the Musigny vineyards. Ruby, strawberries, some exotic spices, floral high notes. Fresh acidity, elegant texture, lovely nerve to it, somewhat lean. Good length. 89

1999 Comte de Vogüé Bourgogne blanc:

OCT 13 Towards lemon yellow. Intense nose, lemons, apples, minerals, slightly floral and yellow fruits. Touch of butter. Flinty with more air in the glass. Fresh acidity, leaner palate, pure Madagascar vanilla, smoky, quite focused, but could have a bit more mid-palate. Long and intense finish. Ever so slight touch of honey and beeswax, that just rounds it off a bit.  94

1997 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses

OCT 13 Ruby, garnet rim. Scented, red berries, minerals, nuanced and elegant nose, layered, pure, complex and refined. Floral and an almost Mouton Rothschild like exoticness. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, slightly drying texture mid palate, ever so slightly oaky still, surprisingly youthful fruit, can be kept to polish it off a bit more. Long. 94

1996 Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares
SEP 09 Lyst ruby med garnet kant. Lett utviklet, noe svisker og moden frukt, snev av jord og fat. Svært lukket. Fresh syre, noe urter og grønt, litt hul, litt kort, ok slank, litt kantete, grei finish. 88-90

JUN 17 Bright ruby, garnet rim. Scented, red berries, floral, anise, sous bois showing up, floral, minerals, nuanced and seductive nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, elegant, detailed, layered, really showing nicely, long finish, superb. 96

JAN 10 Pale ruby, garnet rim. Very elegant and very youthful. Violets, strawberries, hints of vanilla, floral notes, wet roses, some minerals, pure and elegant. Very complex, medium body, very ripe tannins, fresh acidity, perfect balance, fantastic and very long finish. Keep. 95

1995 Comte de Vogüé Bonnes Mares

SEP 13 Bright ruby. Strawberries and tight nose that needed an hour in decanter to even start to open a bit. Ever so slightly floral note, quite seductive, but always as firm as an athletes but. Fresh and tight acidity, ripe tannins, bit lean, fruity, very unripe strawberries palate, tight, long. 93-94

1993 Comte de Vogüé Chambolle-Musigny

OCT 13 Ruby, still garnet rim. Scented, red berries, touch of sous bois, hint of leather, elegant and nuanced nose, superbly charming. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, slightly edgy palate still, feels far younger, blind I would be ten years or so younger. Slight iodine note with more air. Long. But the secret is that the young vines of Musigny, the ones younger than 25 years, was blended into this wine. This practice ended in 1995. 92

1991 Comte de Vogüé Musigny Vieilles Vignes:

OCT 13 (Magnum) 16 hl/Ha. Ruby, thin garnet rim. Floral, scented, layered, nuanced and evolving nose. Ever so slight sous bois touch, red berries. Spicy. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, intense, refreshing, redcurrants and strawberries, long finish. 94

1985 Comte de Vogüé Musigny Vieilles Vignes
AUG 12 Fill 25 millimeters below cork. Pale garnet, brick rim. Earth, leaf, whiff of floral notes, almost oxidized, but verging on being too fresh for that. Darjeeling. Fresh acidity, tannins gone. On the palate it's like a shell of rich and opulent fruit, that is now gone. Like an old aristocrat that really isn't as young and good looking as she hopes to be, trying to keep up the appearance. 86
