1990 Camille Giroud Vosne-Romanée
MAR 14 Ruby with broad brick rim, orange hue. Scented, comes out of the glass, dark berries, sous bois, coffee and burnt notes, seems a bit toasted from oak on the nose. Fresh and high acidity, ripe tannins, fruity, rounded, bit grippy texture, slightly hollow mid palate, long but ever so slightly drying. Maybe not the most typical Vosne, but impressive non the less. 91

1988 Camille Giroud Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes
JUN 14 Deep ruby with brick rim and sediments, slightly cloudy. Very earthy and sous bois first, took time to open, then red berries, scented, detailed and layered nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins starting to polish off but still there. Red berries, fruity, fresh red currants and strawberries, anise touch, long. 94
