JAN 16 Bright ruby. Red berries, scented, floral notes, some vanilla and spices. Flirting nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, woody palate, fruit and texture to carry it but needs cellaring, long. 93

JUN 15 Bright ruby. Scented, some red berries, elegant nose, bit tight, lovely fruit and floral notes behind. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, structured, oak is showy, long. 90

JUN 15 Bright ruby. Scented, red berries, delicate and nuanced nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, leaner, red berries, scented, elegant if somewhat rustic, barrel notes bites in the finish. 88

JUN 15 Bright ruby. Scented, lovely and delicate nose. Red berries, floral notes. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, leaner, juicy, fresh, fruity, elegant if leaner, good length. 87

JUN 15 Bright ruby. Scented, some sous bois, red berries, faint coffee and black tea note nose. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, fresh, fruity, elegant, rounded, firm, still structured, some oak still showing giving a somewhat bitter finish. 87

SEP 09 Ruby med tegl kant, pen nese, lett fruktig og ren jordbær. Litt uttørrende, pen syre, men frukten dør litt. Tørt støv og løv. 78

1996 Serafin Gevrey-Chambertin Vielles Vignes
MAR 12 Ruby with brick rim. Leather, licorice, hung-meat, pepper. Not much resembling Burgundy here. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins, soon gone, some broth, medicinal in the back, a bit hollow but long. Served blind, I didn't even consider Burgundy on this one..... 83

1993 Serafin Charmes-Chambertin
JAN 10 Bright ruby, brick rim. Strawberries and spices, fresh and fruity, a bit alcoholic nose. Ok acidity, fresh mouthfeel, quite complex, elegant, a bit short, drinks well now. 86
This bottle did really show the danger of having a wine for just a few minutes in the glass. After ten minutes, much more elegance, more fruit, more intensity, totally different structure, even tannins was much riper, oak feeling went away, fantastic elegance and finish. A beauty. 93
