MAR 17 Pale lemon yellow. Tight, closed, apples, pears, faint floral touch, minerals beneath, some lemons, some vanilla and spices, very little evolution since last bottle. Freshish acidity, fruity, minerals, rounded and big for Chablis, even Les Clos, one miss some acidity to back up the intensity and shake things up a bit, long. 92

Fresh acidity, again explodes on the palate, minerals, citrus, some spices, lemon curd, stunning acidity, rich and intense yet vibrant. Incredible length. 98

Overnight in decanter it became way more focused and bright. 94

Minerals, apples and lemons nose, mature feel to it, some nuts and a slightly oxidized and funky touch that needed two hours to disappear fully and the wine as a whole needed three hours to open. Later adding floral notes as well. Fresh acidity, lovely and fruity palate, lemony and very mineraly palate, almost exploding, long finish. 94

FEB 13 Pale lemon yellow. Apples, minerals, touch of lemons. Fresh acidity, elegant and refreshing palate, layered, not that intense, towards flirting. With air very nuanced. Long. 93

OCT 09 Pale golden yellow, youthful and clean, fresh, extremely mineral, like fresh seaside and washed up kelp, violets, butter, very complex and elegant. Beautiful acidity, some nuts, oak leafs, oysters, crushed mussels on the rocks, exceptional finish. Maybe the best Chablis I have tasted. 94

JUN 10 Pale straw yellow, very young colour for its age, nuts, minerals, wet plaster, very intense, leaps out of the glass, very elegant, stellar acidity, plays with the flavours, great minerality, some herbs and almost like dill and crayfish. Fantastic balance and length. 95

NOV 10 Golden, A level fill, nuts, banana (disappearing quickly) minerals, yellow apples and slightly oxidized. Turning with more air into intense butter, nuts, ripe lemons and minerals, almost Bâtard like nose. Good acidity, oysters, even a touch of burnt (nuts maybe). Really impressive Premier Cru! 90

1978 Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos

JUN 13 Towards golden colour. Nuts, smoky minerals, almonds, some apples, orange marmalade touch. Fresh acidity, leaner style, elegant, lively, refreshing, elegant minerality, apple core and a slight bitter touch, lemons and lime and lemon zest. Very nuanced and layered. It may be in a bit of a decline, but still gorgeous. Long. 95
